5 rules to step into Fall
Lets talk style and Fall shall we?
Transitioning from Summer to Fall in the style department is a little more tricky than any other season because it is shorts/mini skirts and fun bright colors meets boots and muted colors which can be really difficult to move into...
TPJ 5 Rules of Fall:
1. The first step to fall is browns...add a brown shade to your look!
2. Slowly pack away the sandals, and switch them for wedged sneakers, booties, and boots
3. Layer, layer, layer until the season is in full effect
4. Add a blazer
5. hello...vibrant colors are still needed...in MAJOR moderation...so deeper shades of blues, greens, reds, oranges <- very autumn friendly colors

Golden Girl
I think the style guru portion of my conscience secretly adores gold because I tend to gravitate to golden colors and jewelry as of late even though I don't necessarily favor the color . I recently picked up these superga sneaks from Ross and I was stoked because they were on clearance for an overly affordable price. I love the dress with sneakers look and these shoes are not hard core at all; they are subtle and shimmery and add a nice dash of flare to the dress!
Dress- Joe Fresh via JcPenney for $6.97
Shoes- Superga sneaks via Ross for $11.99
Belt- Charlotte Russe for 3/$1.99
Bracelet/Earrings- c/o AfroBeat Jewelry
Necklace/Ring- HM for $3/$1

Let's talk about Snacks baby...
Let me be the first to say it, I LOVE FOOD!
I have a serious snacking problem...I find myself picking up so many snacks at the grocery store. I love to munch. Thankfully, I snack on somewhat healthy stuff, not only that but healthy portions; because honestly, in the "keeping it real" world, nothing is healthy if you over eat. I got my munchies for the next 3 weeks to a month so I am excited. I just wanted to share with you guys things I love.
ps- I find myself at Trader Joes a lot, you can never go wrong there 9/10 times, your experiment will be delicious
In my snack cupboard:
Popcorn- 1 small bowl full per serving (I had braces for a long time, so I had to redevelop my love for it)
Baked Pea Crisps - 10-15 crisps per serving (delicious...yum yum yum)
Roasted Seaweed- 2 sheets per serving (acquired taste...after that its yum)
Wheat Thins- 5-7 thins per serving (I honestly snack to munch, to get full so this many does the trick for me)
Clif Bars- 1/2 a bar per serving(LOVE THESE)
Naked Smoothies- 1/2 cup per serving (hits the spot...kinda sugar ridden so really limit yourself)
Coconut Water- will take this to work or in my lunch pack or something
+ granola (I am a granola junkie) 3/4 of a cup with 1/2 cup of almond milk
AND of course, I always have fruit (apples [1 gala, fuji, or red delicious], blueberries [handful], strawberries [4-5 medium-large]) on hand and also veges (carrots, snap peas, cauliflower, and broccoli).
Eat right, feel right, and look right. oh yea and exercise...always working on that one lol

Print Panther
I love this dress! I love the print, the shape, and of course the price I paid for it! Hello...BARGAIN NONEE here! Did I mention I am a nurse? So twelve hour shifts are my friend, we're close, we get along...especially at night! So I kinda picked up a twelve hour day yesterday and that was a horrible idea...lets just say the exhaustion was TOO REAL!!! I slept for 13 hrs last night! Oh, also couldn't sleep the night before so I slept 1 and a half hrs prior to that. Yea, major fail...anyways, this outfit isn't a fail! HM for the win.

Love at the core...
The Struggle is real ya'll...
The last four months have been a major life change. I feel so crippled almost...although getting a degree, a nurse license, etc are supposed "crutches", I feel like a fish out of water; kind of feel as if I have been tossed into a sea, no life jacket or anything. I know that I am not alone here. There are so many new grads out there who are experiencing the same thing. I think I have to be one of the most positive people I know, but my positivity is running low...I honestly am taking it one day at a time and letting go, and allowing and trusting in the process. I know that God has plan for my life and that for as hard as I've worked, it's not in vain. In the words of my fav cartoon, and one of my fav sweetest young bloggers (R.I.P Talia):
